HydroCon pipe system trial

This HydroCon pipe system trial was established by the University of Technology Sydney at the Weathertex factory, Heatherbrae. The trial’s success was partly responsible for development approval being given for the Kinross Business & Industrial Estate, which is situated over the Tomaga Sand Bed Aquifer, a major source of drinking water for Newcastle.

The project was one of three sites intensively studied by UTS over a three year period with funding from the Australian Research Council Linkages Program.
