In the driveway and carpark of a childcare facility in the Blue Mountains, HydroSTON was installed to create a surface that prioritises both safety and accessibility. With families navigating prams and young children across the pavement daily, the choice of a P5 slip-rated surface was essential to reduce hazards — especially in wet weather. The pavers’ high permeability eliminates ponding and ensures pathways remain dry and accessible, even during storms. Beyond function, the system supports the site’s green areas by delivering rainfall back into the soil profile, reducing the need for additional watering and helping maintain a healthier environment around the facility.
