Umina Beach, NSW
Frequent flooding from blocked, undersized pipes required major stormwater remediation of a carpark at Umina Beach, NSW.
Constrained by the existing stormwater network, dunes, limited pavement slopes, and ocean outflow restrictions, Central Coast Council opted for an underground infiltration tank (ACO StormBrixx) with an upstream treatment device (HydroCon Pipes).
Treating stormwater “at the source” was the only viable solution compared to traditional “end of pipe” designs.
